What a great quote.   There are so many things this room can do... and hold... what are you doing to fill it with?

The season is here where we think about other people and what they want or need or what we can afford to buy them.  The stress!  (I will talk about that in another blog and how to change that)

But today let's switch this around...
What do WE need?
How can we improve ourselves?
What can we do to be our best?
How can we improve?

okay I know you are perfect just the way you are!  after all you are YOU! and that is perfect!

Don't you love the Dove commercials?
How we see ourselves is not how others see us.  How do you see yourself?  Do you look in the mirror and see the real you or this person you want to change?  We put on our camouflage?  It is different for everyone. .. yes even guys do it.  So it isn't just the make up.
Remember you are beautiful just way you are...
but you can take care of yourself just a bit better... you know it!

Here are some ideas of which I am sure you have thought of and know.  Then I added some other ideas (maybe future blogs if you would like - let me know)

1. Eat ... mindfully... pay attention to what you eat and enjoy it.  Everything has calories.  But are those good ones?  Do we really want to look like that soft gooie topped muffin? or do we want a body that can climb those stairs, go out side and just walk... or maybe run with our kids and grandkids...
Our body is only as good as the food that fuels it.
It is the number 1 ingredient to taking care of ourselves.

2. Breath... we all do it all the time.  When we stop we are finished.  The journey has ended and another started.
So lets breath!  
All the way to our toes!  
Deep beautiful breaths.  
I love to breath in for the count of four,... hold for the count of six...... and exhale slowly to the count of eight.... 4, 6, 8.
There are lots of variations and reasons for why certain numbers.  I just like even numbers.  I want to make sure I stop and hold and then let go all the way to my toes....   All your body needs air. Give it lots.  We breath the size of an Olympic pool every day.  Lots a lot of breaths!


3. Walk... well exercise!  Everyone knows you have to do it ... but I am one of these reluctant exercisers.  I love to do it, I just don't like to start.  But I love my T-Zone Whole Body Vibration Machine.  10 minutes = an hour workout.  It is my giggle and jiggle machine. What's not to love?  What is your favourite way to move your body?
walking? yoga? jumping? swimming? snowshoeing, skiing, ....

4. Drink... and I do mean water.  I got your attention.  Yes!  you can enjoy your glass of your preference but remember your body needs liquid in its natural state.  Plain, pure water.  Add lemon or lime to make a difference and it helps to detox your body.  Did you know your brain... the thing that gets foggy is 85% water?  Your body is 75%.

5. Sleep .... Yup!  did you know that you lose weight when you sleep?  Your body naturally goes into ketosis and burns your fat...hahaha.  Great sleep all day!  Well that doesn't work either.  But get enough sleep for your body.  How much do you get each night?



So I have covered the basics.. let's see how we can give ourselves a treat and also improve that rooms view.

- Thank some one
- Smile
- Laugh
- Visit family
- Cuddle
- Hug  (my kids / grandkids will vouch for this one lol)
- This list could go on forever. lol! :)
